CALIFORNIA INDUSTRIAL GENERAL PERMIT SWPPP REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications and Training.
• A SWPPP must be prepared and certified by a Qualified SWPPP Developer (QSD) and many other SWPPP tasks (i.e. inspections) must either be conducted directly by, or under the supervision of a QSD or Qualified SWPPP Practitioner (QSP). There are extensive qualification and training requirements for both the QSD and QSP. A copy of the SWPPP must be kept on site.
In California, the Discharger must provide the following things:

• List of Industrial Materials
• Description of Potential Pollution Sources
• Assessment of Potential Pollutant Sources
• Minimum BMPs and Advanced BMP’s
• Monitoring Implementation Plan
• Annual Comprehensive Site Evaluation
• Date that SWPPP was initially prepared
• Date of each SWPPP amendment
• Signed Certification
