California Department of Transportation – Devore Interchange, Devore, California

CLIENT: Atkinson/URS Design-Build Team

Responsible for generating a multi-faceted stormwater compliance program.  This is one of the larger design-build projects CALTRANS has released to date.  McGrath Consulting coordinated with CALTRANS and the Design team to develop a robust stormwater program for implementation throughout the design and construction phases of the project


Bear Valley Parkway, Escondido, California

CLIENT: Southland Paving, Inc.

Performed a comprehensive compliance program for stormwater pollution prevention.  This included the preparation of the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), registration of the project on the State website for the Regional Water Quality Control Board, and conducted compliance inspections during construction to ensure the project was being performed pursuant to state regulations for water quality.

Performed a comprehensive compliance program for stormwater pollution prevention.  This included the preparation of the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), registration of the project on the State website for the Regional Water Quality Control Board, and conducted compliance inspections during construction to ensure the project was being performed pursuant to state regulations for water quality.


State of California – Department of General Services – Oceanside CHP Office, Oceanside, California

CLIENT: Augustine Company

Implemented a full stormwater compliance program for the Department of General Services. A Risk Level 2 project under the New General Construction Permit.  McGrath Consulting was responsible for spearheading coordination with key State personnel on the project to implement the stormwater program.  Work included the preparation and implementation of the SWPPP including monitoring, sampling, and training activities.


 Department of Water Resources – Mentone Pipeline, Mentone, California

CLIENT: Spiniello Companies

Implemented a full stormwater compliance program for the Department of Water Resources, Mentone Pipeline Project. A Type Level 1 LUP under the New General Construction Permit.   Work included the preparation and implementation of the SWPPP including monitoring, sampling, and training activities.


Storm Water Compliance Program, San Diego, California

CLIENT: Creamer-Spiniello Joint Venture/San Diego County Water Authority

Implemented a full stormwater compliance program for Specification 606, Pipeline 3 & 4 relining project for the San Diego County Water Authority. A Type Level 2 LUP under the New General Construction Permit.   Work included the preparation and implementation of the SWPPP including monitoring, sampling, and training activities.

A Type Level 2 LUP under the New General Construction Permit.   Work included the preparation and implementation of the SWPPP including monitoring, sampling, and training activities.

Prepared numerous Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) for the contractor in accordance with both the State of California General Construction Permit and the Small Linear Construction Permit.  Also prepared Water Pollution Control Plans projects with post-construction water pollution control measures in place.  Projects ranged from schools, and higher learning centers, to United States Military Skills Training Centers.

CLIENT: County of San Diego

Preparation of a Best Management Plan Implementation Report for the county annex building off of Ruffin Road.  Work included the preparation and implementation of the report including consideration of Low Impact Development (LID) strategies for the treatment of stormwater runoff.


Storm Water Pollution Prevention Training, San Diego, California
CLIENT: RQ Construction

Administered Storm Water Pollution Prevention Training to Project Managers, Superintendents, Foreman, and Estimators.  Updated contractor regarding the new proposed draft general permit, and compared new draft permit with old permit referencing potential changes that will affect project cost, compliance measures, planning, and responsibilities.
